Happy New Year folks! What a way to begin the year... Ringing in the new year was fine but seem to have problems with lift-off!
Think I had my first taste of rock n roll excess as I fell ill shortly after new years. I'm down with an upper respitory tract infection - what the indeed? - and the drugs don't seem to be working :( First goal of the year - get well so i can enjoy my holiday!! I'll be going to Phuket on Thursday and I want to enjoy my Tom Yum soup! I initially wanted to go canoing round Phang Nga where they filmed "The Man with the Golden Gun" but alas I think I just have to circling in a motorised boat instead. But at least I would have done my pilgrimage eh ;)
Work also seems to be getting so political these days. I feel tired just thinking about it however it could be the drugs. Then again which workplace isn't? I thought I would have been old enough not to see the world with rose tinted glasses (damn rockin aviators if i might add haha). In the words of Oasis, I should just roll with it... Luckily I've made some good friends which does help to buffer the crazy times. Plus, I'm glad I'm escaping for a few days and having a breather.
What else do I have planned for 2007? Didn't really think about it... haha well I've got a few days to think about it now. One plan is to get offa my arse and keep practising my photography. I've been so slack and should keep fine tuning my skills. It's lucky that I get to see all kinds of pictures at work - good and bad - and this helps me gauge my own abilities. Don't think I'm fantastic but feel I should make use of the opportunity to practice and develop myself further.
Don't get me wrong. I am excited about the new year and the new possibilities that it brings. Looks like I am having slight car trouble but I will get there eventually...
